"You are Made up of Lights and Stars" and Other Stories on Wisdom and Life

"Of Lights and Stars"

"Oh WOW you look so soulful in this photo as if", he said and paused. He liked creating mystery and suspense.

"Ahaan as if what", she sounded restless for sure. Nothing troubles a woman as much as an incomplete compliment does.

"As if you are not made up of flesh and blood. As if you are made up of lights and stars", he continued.

"You know the art of complimenting so very well", she replied shyly.

Brimming with joy inside. Trying hard to hide her smile outside.

Sweeter than Solitude

"It seems every handsome hunk already has a girlfriend and every beautiful girl already has a boyfriend. I am the only idiot around who is single", she told her cousin.
"You know you can never find the right relationship under peer pressure and competition. You first have to love yourself and then find someone who is sweeter than your solitude. Someone who can make your soul dance with joy", the wise cousin replied.

"There seems to be some food for thought in your words. I need to introspect", she replied and left.

"Rise in love this time"

"I have been deceived once and ditched once. I do not believe in love anymore", she told him.

"Why do you keep falling in love? Why can't you rise?", he was straightforward.

"You are right perhaps", she replied.

"Promise me that you won't 'fall' in love again. Not even with me. Rise if you have to", he smiled.

She stared at him for a while. May be that was her reply.

"Emotions"
"Why the hell am I so hypersensitive? I hate myself for it", she told him on a troubled note.

"Do you know our greatest weakness can become our greatest strength, if channelised well?", he replied unperturbed.

"And how do I do that? How do I come out of this inner chaos and turbulence?” she asked.

"Emote it into your creative expression. Let the chaos take the shape of art. Let the turbulence bleed into words", he was cool.

Pain can become a beautiful work of art. Art need not be an ugly pain.

"Loyalty- The Weakest and the Poorest"

"We live in opportunistic times. And I got pleasantly shocked today", he told his friend.

"What shocked you so much? You still seem to be in a state of awe", the friend asked.

"I met few villagers on an official tour. And I am still dumbfounded by the kind of loyalty I have come across. I have never come across such loyalty in the city", he replied.

"So what is your conclusion?", the friend asked.

"The weakest and the poorest are perhaps the most loyal. And mind you, loyalty flows from core of the heart, not from any compulsions of the mind", he answered.
