How Students Teach You?

A friend of mine rightly remarked, "A teacher is one who is eternally a student, when he is not, the student becomes the teacher." I had recently put this on Facebook and my students have sent interesting comments.

"When I thought I had found all the answers, life posed another question"

I got very unexpected responses from my students. Here are some of them.

Shikha Aggarwal
Sir life is full of questions..and mind is full of them

Varun Dhanda
Life doesn't ask questions. It answers them :))

Mohit Ahuja
One small philosophy of my own... "U are the answer to all your questions!”

Dheera Likhi
When there will be no questions left to be chased then don't u think life will be little monotonous and pointless rather lifeless.

Nicole Gomes
Life keeps testing people!

I must say, students are maturing early these days.

  1. How can we detect whether someone is spiritual? How can we know we are growing spiritually?
How can we assess by the above mentioned comments that students are becoming spiritually mature?

So far my understandings: Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
    gentleness, self-control....!
But still I am unaware of "SPIRIT", or you can call the Fruit of SPIRIT.

Fruit does not ripen overnight, and cannot be manufactured and as same as SPIRIT.

  2. Someone who looks within is spiritual in my point of view. The more we meditate or use other spiritual tools, we grow spiritually through increased wisdom, intuition and inner joy and peace.
Another way of looking at spirituality is "When we start questioning everything is the begining of wisdom, when we accept everything it is the maturing of wisdom". By this angle I feel students are maturing spiritually as they have started questioning things.

  3. Life is an adventurous journey.Keep exploring it.We are all souls on a human journey.God has sent us on this earth to enjoy life and be creative to add to the beauty of this earth.
I completely endorse your views on Spirituality ie from questioning to acceptance.
It is pity that very few people understand the real meaning of life.

  6. apart from that i think students also teach u many things in class by their behaviour a naughty student teach u how to have patience and an intelligent student more knowledgeable than you teach you how to pretend and being dominant at your position without revealing true emotions......

  7. Absolutely you are correct. Now a day, Students are matured in the early age. I have no doubt on that. I feel that, "asking questions are the wonderful idea to gather some knowledge".
