I have been running a Vasudhaiv Kutumbkam (The World is a Family in Sanskrit ) Interview series on my Blog for past 2 years and have interviewed more than 50 people in the series from all parts of the world. It has given me a wonderful opportunity to interact with thought leaders, pioneers and other great professionals from across the world. These people have either emerged (or fast emerging) as Global Leaders and have Enlarged, Excelled and Evolved into Global Personal Brands too. They are interesting role models for those who want to become global leaders. These interviews will give you interesting insights about global mindsets and how spirituality has guided most of these professionals in deeply passionate journeys with respect for all religions, cultures and nations. Steve Brant-Interview with the Grand Guy of Innovation and CSR Dr Amit Nagpal: I really loved your comfort vs zone of magic image.                                   Vasudhaiv Kutumbkam* Interview series (Global Leaders who have Enlarged, Excelled and Evolved into Global Personal Brands) Dr Amit Nagpal: Tell us Larry, how and why did you become a small business coach. Larry Easto : Good question. I trained as a lawyer and practiced law for many years, then did some consulting, wrote some books and just recently realized that everything I did in terms of helping clients was in fact coaching. So decided to start calling myself a coach. Dr Amit : Why did you choose services marketing particularly? Larry : I think it chose me almost every time I did work for clients; the issue of new business arose so we discussed it. A few years ago, I was hired to write a marketing training program for entrepreneurs and this consolidated my marketing focus. Dr Amit : Tell us about your books and which is the most popular on...

Todd Nielsen-Leadership and Execution Guru

Image
Dr. Amit Nagpal: Todd, welcome to the chat. Why did you name your Blog as 'A Slice of leadership'? Todd Nielsen : Thanks Amit. Leadership is a fascinating topic to me and the intricacies of leadership run far and wide.  A blog is a place to explore a topic or topics in small increments, so I felt the analogy of consuming small "slices" to be a good fit for consuming the enormous topic of leadership and self-development. Dr. Amit: Interesting and true! I find western cultures are far better in execution and Indians (and other easterners) are great at conceptualizing but often need to improve on execution. What makes westerners good at execution? Is it experience, exposure or a managerial rather than a creative bent? Todd: That is interesting that you mention that, as execution is the niche that I serve and do workshops and speeches on. Execution is the foundational problem in which almost all other problems in business originate? It could be poor sa...

Vasudhaiv Kutumbkam*  Interview Series (Global Thought Leaders who have Enlarged, Excelled and Evolved into Global Personal Brands) Area of Thought Leadership -Integral Coaching Dr Amit Nagpal-Tell us something about Centre for Courageous Authenticity in leadership. Goodnews Cadogan -The Centre for Courageous Authenticity in Leadership was born out of my experience (shared with that of my co-directors, Ms Vuyokazi Menye : CIO at the Mondi Group & Ms Ntombekhaya Dayimani , Supply Director at Sandoz Pharmaceuticals) with many leaders displaying lack of courage to execute their mandate, in the face of resistance. On the other hand, they fail to ‘come-out’ and be who they are, and decide to blend-in with the dominant systems of their organisations, however toxic they may be. Our mission at the CCAL is, through our quarterly advocacy seminars, to raise the level of awareness of the contribution of lack of leadership courage, to the ineffectiveness of leadership in ...
