The Villains, the Heroes & the Human Story

Image
Here are some short stories (and notes). Happy Storytelling. The Villains, the Heroes & the Human Story (A Note for my mass media friends) Humans are ruining the planet, humans are the biggest of villains and the corrupt hoarders, self-destructive villains to be precise who destroy their own habitat, blah blah blah blah. Look at the other side too my mass media friends. Only humans only can discover a life purpose, only humans demonstrate overwhelming will power in spite of soul sapping challenges.....and (out of all this my friends), with sheer grit and determination, only humans emerge as the "Awe inspiring Heroes and Super heroes". Three cheers for the "human story". Read Full Post on LinkedIn

Image
Yepp! Trust worth a million dollars....., unconditional love 'priceless' And the journalist asked the storyteller, "What did you earn and learn by spending so much time on social media over past few years?" The storyteller,"I hardly earned a few lakhs in rupee terms in past few years, yet I made unconditionaly loving friends across the globe (which is priceless for sure) and earned a billion dollars in trust & social capital." The journalist,"Now what?" The storyteller,"Now they whole-heartedly trust me and I whole-heartedly trust the Universe." ---------------------- This story too shall pass This too shall pass. And I will not fail. ---------------------- Life is just a make believe story In a way we all live in our make-believe worlds. 'coz we make and break our worlds, with our beliefs. And our story twists, based on what we are able to make our mind beli...

And I could see the smiles all around

Image
People want positive energy (or love) and are getting tired of everything else. Interestingly when I spoke on “Spirituality & Personal Branding” at Ananda Spa in the Himalayas, CIOs took more interest in spirituality and less in reputation management. Surprisingly the three things which they liked most about my presentation were:- a) How meditation helps us in getting inspira tion and how it can bring out inner greatness and passion? b) The power of storytelling as a self-expression tool. c) The humour (with a serious touch) in my presentation got a warm response. I said in the very beginning, “ Some inspiration comes from my friends, some of it comes from divine. Some inspiration comes from the inspiration (muse), There is nothing I can claim to be mine. Hence no copyright deserved. ” And I could see the smiles all around. To add to the beautiful experience of Ananda, a CIO stood up and gave a standing ovation. And words cannot express beyond a point...

Each activity contributes to the reputation of the user and can thus enhance or reduce the credibility. So tap your inner wisdom to be a social media rockstar. 2) Social media mega success requires love for people Mega success on social media requires genuine love for people and patience. The 'Global Niche' Story-Creating Unexpected Twist for the Creative Entrepreneur

Image
I have always believed that we are all world class in some area (which I call as deepest passion) and Anastasia calls it our Global Niche.  In any case, the bigger the market we decide to target, the more focused we need to be in terms of target segment (or niche). Fundamentally I liked the idea of discovering our global niche, though I was already in the area of global personal branding for nearly two years. I had been running an interesting interview series on my Blog, “ Vasudhaiv Kutumkam ” or The World is one family. In the series I interviewed wide range of people who were contributing to globalization in real sense of the term-development of global mindset, cross cultural exposure (and respect for other cultures) and making honest attempts to become Global citizens. Nobody is foreign in the Global Village Long back I had come to know about CNN’s  policy of not using the ‘foreign’ word on its international channels. In fact Ted Turner, the founder of CNN had ...

Passionately Social :-)

Living with Deepest Passion Series-2 Passionately Social J  Guest Blog by Khushbu Pandya Relationships have always been close to my heart since childhood. Whether it is ingrained in me by my family or my cultural background, the truth is I have always valued relationships over any other thing in the world. I have learnt from my ancestors that taking care of tiniest thing matters a lot in any kind of relation, be it personal or professional. And as time passed, even before I realised, this personal nature developed into my personal brand. I remember the times, in my very first job; customers praised me for my regular and consistent support. I used to receive recognition e-mails for my habit of doing the work meticulously.  Here, I simply want to portray my deep passion for relationships and everything that involves in building and maintaining strong relationships. This root of passion binds me to one thing – that is – Social Media. I see it as a single most pow...
