"Young and Foolish" and Other Mini Stories on Wisdom and Life

Mini Stories on Wisdom and Life

“Young and Foolish”

“I want to become young and foolish once again”, she told him.

“Young and foolish? Everyone wants to be young again but why do you want to be foolish?”, he smiled.

“Because I was young and wise. I only made mistakes and hardly made blunders . I have nothing to regret in my old age”, she joked.

“Now I understand”, he began to laugh.

"Swaying from one Extreme to Another"

"Master what is the most important thing in life?", he asked the master.

"Humanity is often bipolar in its behavior. People keep swaying between love and hatred, euphoria and depression, grudge and guilt and so on. The most important thing is to strive for balance as long as you live", he replied.

"And how does one find balance when your own mind gives you foolish advice at times", he asked the master.

"Inner imbalance reflects in outer imbalance. Breathe deeply to think wisely. Do not act when excited or depressed", the master continued.

The Professor

"I have finally found a weakness in you. You think too much and that's why you are always a little stressed", she told him.

"May be you are right. Actually I took my professor too seriously", he replied.

"What! Did he tell you to remain stressed?", she was surprised.

"Yes he did. On my first day at college, he told me that tension is a pre condition to work. And I have stayed stressed happily thereafter", he replied with a serious smile.

CXOs and PhDs

"Both corporate CXOs and Academic PhDs get into the habit of turning simple ideas into complex and scary looking models", she told him.

"Is that so? How does one learn to make complex things simple?", he was curious to know.

"Write a book", she told him.

"Are you crazy? Will that teach you how to make complex things simple?", he queried.

"Let me finish. Write a book on "Idiots guide to (your subject)" and you will learn how to simplify", she began to laugh.

The Best the World can Offer

"How can someone rise in love? I don't get it", she sounded confused.

"I don't understand how can someone fall in the beautiful emotion of love", he countered.

"Ok tell me clearly what do you mean by rising in love", she diverted the attention.

"You rise in love when:-
-the person you love becomes your creative inspiration.
-love drives you to become more successful and provide your beloved the best the world can offer.
-you want to become a better person and a better lover.
-you start looking forward to life and she adds life to your life.
-you want to look your best, be your best and do your best.

And love becomes omnipotent when you see the divine in the other and you start believing a miracle can bring you together against all odds", he gave her some structured lessons.
